Technologies for Zero or Nearly Zero Energy Buildings -Rif. 155/2013

Laboratory and in field analysis and testings of building envelope components and systems suitable to achieve zero-energy buildings (ZEB) or nearly zero-energy buildings (NZEB).

- Analysis, development and optimization of responsive building envelope (RBE) that can dynamically vary their physical properties and their energy performance through the use of renewable energy and through energy and mass transfer and storage.

-Development of analysis tools, both numerical and experimental, for the optimization of existing components and for the development of new technologies.

- Development of energy storage system at building or district level and of hybrid cooling systems (active/passive) enabling a pro-active energy management to maximize the use of renewable sources.
