The first macro-area is divided into three wide research themes among which it is possible to notice some common “sub-themes” and synergic integration, in spite of the different objectives that they pursue. As a consequence, these “sub-themes” have to be read from a close complementarily perspective.
Specifically, the first one is focused on the organisational models for innovation, studying the roots of the dynamic capabilities, which underlie any successful strategy; the second one is centred on the concepts of entrepreneurship and technology transfer, with special attention to the public research system’s ability to promote the birth and growth of high-tech firms; finally, the third one focuses on services innovation, with a particular on some crucial sectors such as Ports, Logistics and Transport, Tourism, Cultural Heritage, Insurance, Public Administration and Health Service.”
