MILANO ARCHAEOLOGIA. Inspection activities on the archaeological heritage of the city of Milan to verify the conservation condition of building, the conditions of risk and accessibility

The activity is part of the project "MILANOARCHAEOLOGIA FOR EXPO 2015. Towards enhancement of the archaeological heritage of the city of Milan ", the aim of the project is the development of processes of knowledge and conservation planning of urban archaeological heritage through coordinated action of preservation, promotion / communication and use.

The activity concerns the study of material characteristics and building preservation of artifacts and the analysis of the environmental context through the development of visual diagnostics, in order to identify any need for activation of an instrumental diagnosis (in situ and in the laboratory ).

The outcome of the inspection activities will be synthesized in a diagnostic report where will be highlighted: the work necessary for the safety and use of the archeological heritage; preventive activities, diagnostic and monitoring to ensure the conservation, maintenance recommended.
