PhD in Miniature capillary systems in macro-scaled transparent media for HPLC

In this project laser micro-machining will be used to create autonomous microfluidic devices that can be independently used for chemical species detection. Channels will be fabricated within the bulk of thick polymeric and glass blocks for this purpose, the advantage of which will be manifest in the provision of systems which can withstand higher pressures.
