Even today, the metal-ceramic fixed partial dentures are considered the standard of care in dentistry, but the concept of marginal fit has led to the development of new technologies in the field of prosthetics. The purpose of this study is to compare the microstructure, hardness, corrosion resistance and the bond strength of the CoCr dental alloy and the pressed ceramic painted and stratified. The selective laser melting represents an innovative additive technique by which the prosthetic structure is realized through progressive additions of small quantities of material and its consolidation. The object is realized layer after layer until its completion by using the metal powders as raw materials.
