Literacy is the capability to give access, to analyze, to evaluate and to generate messages in the different formats of communication through media; this competenceis nowadays necessary to live and take part in the "knowledge society". This research aim to evaluate the competence of the adolescents who lives in Padua analyzing the connection between digitsl literacy ad social, imstitutional and technological conditions that could have an effect on the processes of acquisition of digital knowledge. The research wants also to consider the use experiences and the different levels of penetration of the internet in adolescent's everyday life to analiza the (possible) disparities relating to the access and the abilities. The main goal of the research is to define a sociological meaning of digital literacy by way of a multi-method and multi level.
