Recent technology and the rise of the so-called Web 2.0 are determining an evolution of end users from passive information consumers into information producers. This requires many changes in the way applications are designed and developed; specifically, it demands for a new interaction paradigm that should enable users to access content, move it across the boundaries of specific applications from which the content is first accessed, and get it in Personal Information Spaces (PISs) where it could be manipulated to create new content to be possibly shared with other people.
