The main topic of the research program will be the development of a new Fire Risk Assessment Method suitable for public buildings such an university. The first phase will be the validation of the code FRAME (Fire Risk Assessment Method for Engineering) on scholar buildings. The test case will be the area of the Engineering faculty of Politecnico di Torino (main building). The research program will move from the result of the validation toward the discover the weakness of the method applied to complex structures where several activities are located. At a later stage, the method will be improved into a more specific version. At the same time the critical areas of the structure will be individuated
