The research project is part of the project financed within the 7Framework Program – Marie Curie IRSES, integrated with a higher education agenda. It is finalized to explore new approaches in delivering and implementing urban regeneration policies, in particular by testing an innovative model aimed at enhancing the attractiveness of deprived urban
areas by focusing on public-private partnerships and urban-rural linkages. This innovative instrument is suitable to be implemented within the Europe 2020 framework. The project is coordinated by the University Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria and involves the following further international partners:
University of Salford, Aalto University of Helsinky, University Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria, University La Sapienza of Rome, Northeastern University of Boston, San Diego State University.
