Microbial contamination in bivalve mollusks: epidemiological survey and development of an experimental decontamination model

Please note that the job is no longer active!

This research project aims to conduct an epidemiological survey to investigate the presence of microbial contaminants in bivalve mollusks. The project also aims to develop an experimental model for microbial decontamination of Tapes philippinarum compatible with the path of the commercial product. It will be studied, through experimental tests, the effects of an antimicrobial treatment through the use of a commercial disinfectant called Virkon® in terms of both bactericidal and virucidal activity, in a first moment against to microbial components naturally present in the marine water and in shellfish and then against to specific agents of fish and human diseases through experimental trials with Betanodavirus and V. parahaemolyticus.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
