The aim of the research is to study the relation between power and human life usually known as “bio-politics”. The focus of the research will be on the intersection between the fields of law, medicine and economy. Certainly, in this horizon, considering the particularly complexity of the subject, technology and especially biotechnologies become prominent. The purpose of this research is to highlight the potentials and the risks of these still unknown connections through an analysis which should be together historical and theoretical, analytical and critical. Despite the debate in this field have reached international contexts, the research will take focus on the Italian reflection in this area. In Italy the research on the bio-politics, born in France from Michel Foucault, has known a very significant and original development. The research intends to go into deep this field of analysis through comparison of a series of other philosophical traditions
