The activity of the research is the design and implementation of a personal area network that is able to detect and transmit, via a wireless link, physiological parameters of patients, at home or in a hospital, with the aim of continuous monitoring. The physiological parameters referred to include ECG, the temperature, heart rate and respiratory rate. The system to be designed must be able to collect and transmit data by means of wireless technologies to a base station, which will allow the processing, the real-time display, etc., as well as the transmission to a remote control center reachable via the Internet.
