The aim of the project is to optimize and apply a fabric called tetraxial, a new concept that has three weft, two of which are not in the direction perpendicular to the warp.
The scholarship holder will coordinate the research activities of the Politecnico providing theoretical and technological support to the project partners.
Following an analysis of the technical and scientific literature aimed at assessing the state of the art of the properties and methods of characterization of fibers and fabrics, the possibility of using one or more directions of the fabric to provide new functional properties will be assessed.
Based on the specific requirements of the product, identified together with the project partners, the scholarship holder will select the types of yarns and suitable weaves: fabric samples will then be tested in laboratory to verify their compliance with the expected environmental and operating conditions.
