Data analysis and modeling for urban mobility

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The candidates will perform a study of stochastic dynamical models on networks with applications to human mobility.
The aim of the scientific project will be to build up models able to
a) perform a nowcasting approach to forecasting the onset of network congestion based on limited observations;
b) discover statistical dynamical laws describing the network congestion formation;
c) define macroscopic observables in order of characterize urban mobility according to specific utility functions like mobility time, mobility space, degree of congestion etc...
d) classify mobility in the main Italian cities.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
