The aim of this project is to analyze the epigenetic states of chromatin in leaf of maize plants grown under three different stressing conditions and assess if the histone modifications involved in the changes of these states are stable or reversible after stress removal. Epigenetic states will be analyzed genome-wide (ChIP-seq) using next generation sequencing technology (Illumina) and chromatin will be precipitated to evaluate three different histone modifications corresponding to two different epigenetic state in plants
