Such knowledge represents the indispensable basis needed for any rational therapeutic approach. We would like to produce new knowledge on the pathogenesis of both Ph+ and negative Chronic Myeloproliferative Diseases and to use it to identify potential therapeutic targets for specific combined approaches. A selected number of identified alterations will be introduced into appropriate cellular recipients, with the aim of: validating their transforming potential, and to assess the biological effects, in vitro and in vivo, of their single or combined.
