The research activity will consist in the atomistic study of polymeric hybrid interfaces and nanostructures for photovoltaic applications. The activity will require: (i) to generate atomistic models formed by polymers and inorganic nanostructures (metaloxides or carbon based nanostructures); (ii) to study the microstructural evolution of the generated models under controlled thermodynamic conditions; (iii) to study the optoelectronic properties of portions of the generated models by the first-principles calculations based on the density-functional theory.
