The Two Questions on Intellect were written by the Jewish Averroist Elia del Medigo (c. 1455-1492/3) at the request of his disciple, Pico della Mirandola. They were composed with the title of Quaestiones unitate de intellectus, and were later translated into Hebrew by the Del Medigo, with additions concerning the relationship between philosophy and religion and some remarks on Kabbalah. The Two Questions are an important compendium of Averroes’ doctrine on Intellect and his cognitive activity, within a paradigm that postulates the existence of an eternal and transpersonal Intellect, shared by the entire human species. The research concerns with the historical and critical study of the Two Questions, in view of their critical edition and translation.
