The policy of canonisations of women in John Paul II

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The research aims to prepare an historical profile of pope Karol Wojtyla's policy of the feminine canonisations, as an interpretive key for a deeper comprehension of his pontificate. The historiographical focus of the project conveys to understand the meaning of the beatifications and canonisations in the papal gouvernement of John Paul II, in particular the ones which have become feminine hagiographical models. Through a gender, comparative and international approach it will be possible to better place the proposal and the effect of these hagiographical models in a pluralist and secularised society, contribuiting to cast light on the general attitude of the Catholic Church towards the modernity

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
