Data Analysis Software for the high-resolution spectrograph ESPRESSO

The main goal of the project is the design and subsequent implementation, integration and verification of the software for data analysis of the ESPRESSO instrument for ESO’s VLT. The spectrograph ESPRESSO is characterized by high efficiency, extreme stability and high precision. The major scientific programmes are the search for rocky extra-solar planets and the study of the variability of physical constants. The project is managed by an European Consortium composed of Institutes from Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal and by ESO
