Energy efficient parallelization techniques for Image processing applications

The objective of the contract, in line with the objectives of EU project Phidias and the ST cooperation, is to develop a strong competence in the area of parallelization of 3D descriptors and 2D descriptors.
The following tasks are envisioned:
1. Analysis of the state of the art in 2D and 3D descriptors
2. Parallelization techniques for GPU, multi and many-core accelerators
3. Heterogeneous computing and related SW optimizations
4. Energy minimization techniques
