The grant project’s objective is to monitor treatment errors, drug overdose and abuse according to the AIFA guidelines. The Tuscany Region has promoted the development of active pharmacovigilance projects. The Pharmacovigilance Centre, University of Florence, at the CIMMBA, Dept. NEUROFARBA, is engaged in projects of adverse reactions active monitoring via: emergency department (project MEREAFaPS) Poison Control Centers (FARVICAV); information services for drugs during pregnancy and lactation (STORK). For the implementation of these projects is essential the recruitment of qualified health personnel with specific experience in the field of pharmacology, pharmacovigilance and toxicology, with particular reference to the classification and the clinical management of adverse drug reactions, treatment errors, overdoses and a drug abuse, as well as specific skills of perinatal toxicology.
