Uricemia and cardiovascular disease risk: study of the clinical, laboratory and instrumental determinants in a large sample of general population

Please note that the job is no longer active!

Emerging data suggest a physiopathological link among uricemia, different cardiovascular disease risk factors and vascular damage itself. The aim of our study are: a) the transversal and prospective evaluation of the association of uricemia levels to early signs of cardiovascular damage (evaluated by measurement of Pulse Wave Velocity and Ankle Brachial Index) and to the risk to develop cardiovascular disease in a large sample of general population (about 20.000 subjects) enrolled in the context of the Brisighella Heart Study; b) the identification of clinical, laboratory and instrumental determinants of cardiovascular disease risk associated to uricemia; c) the identification of a sex-related uricemia cut-off level able to a priori identify the subject with a higher cardiovascular disease risk

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
