The motor coordination, lateralization, posture, spatial perception, up-motor skills, visual skills and visual-spatial executive functions of planning and movement control are developed in different ways in the population during the development but they evolve and are maintained throughout life. This may be due to problems related to "motor learning", and/or to aspects intrinsic to the organism. Despite the importance of motor competence, few studies have been performed in this field.
The aim of the project is to assess the involvement of motor coordination and memory skills in handwriting to differentiate elderly people with writing difficulties related to motor coordination
problems from those with writing difficulties related to the development of visual-spatial memory.
