Multidisciplinary study of the preparatory phase of earthquakes

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The scientific aim is to investigate the preparatory phase of earthquakes by means of multidisciplinary and innovative approaches, in order to improve our predictive capacity at medium and short time.

Such topics will be achieved by means of some actions:

1- implementing a multidisciplinary methodology and numerical procedures for the investigation and measurement of slow, seismic and aseismic, deformations, along single faults or fault systems;

2- studying the changes of seismicity and the probability of earthquake occurrence in function of the tectonic stress induced by other earthquakes;

3- developing procedures for the analysis in real-time of the propagation velocity variation of seismic waves, that are indicators of the stress changes of rock volumes;

4- Multiparametric monitoring

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
