The grant has several technical and scientific purposes. Regarding the technical aspects, the post doc will be involved in the improvement and development of current MS quantification techniques, both in terms of improvement of protein identification number per single experiment and in terms of the setting up of novel and unexpensive procedures. The main quantification methods used will be the isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantification (iTRAQ) and the multiplex peptide stable isotope dimethyl labeling. These techniques will then be applied in several projects in the agro-food and environmental area.
The research fellow should have experiences with protein extraction and purification protocols and with standard biochemical procedures. He/she should also have proven experience with LC-MS/MS techniques and instrumentation; experience on MALDI TOF/TOF and Orbitrap-XL would be an asset.
Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
The selection will be carried out through the evaluation of degrees, scientific-professional curriculum, scientific outputs and an interview.
The interview will be held at the Department DAFNAE Viale dell'Università 16 35020 Legnaro (PD) Italy. Remote interviews are not allowed.
To better plan and organise their stay in a foreign European country, researchers and their families can also benefit of the free and personalised assistance offered by the EURAXESS Services Centres, a network of more than 200 centres located in 40 different European countries.
