Quantitative imaging for profiling cardiovascular programming in fetuses and children

Please note that the job is no longer active!

In the fetal stage, vascular abnormalities linked to endothelial damage can be measured by an increased aIMT measured during routine US examinations.

Automatic analysis of fetal aorta poses a number of challenges that result in the measure being performed manually by skilled practitioners: as for every manual procedure, it is susceptible to intra- and inter- reader variability. The project will develop a set of tools that will first identify the position and shape of the aorta from 2D+T or 3D+T US data. Then it will estimate the cardiac cycle by analyzing the diameter variation in time, providing a gating signal: in the frames corresponding to the end-diastole, aIMT will be computed by estimating the position of the lumen-intima and media-adventitia transitions

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
