Marie Curie Actions funded fellowship Multiscale approach for ceramics modelling

The successful candidate will carry out research in Solid Mechanics with particular reference to constitutive modelling of rock-like materials, with emphasis on ceramics. Analytical models will be developed within elastoplasticity theory, calibrated on experimental results and will be used for implementation in finite elements codes. Sintering of ceramics will be considered and modelled within a rigorous thermodynamic framework.
