Intraductal papillary moucinuos neoplasms of the pancreas: screening, follow-up and surgical treatment.

Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs) of the pancreas have been recognized as the precursor of the pancreatic cancer. Recently, an international guidelines (1) have been proposed to optimize the management of patients with IPMNs but highlight issues remained controversial and further research was required . The aims of research project is to establish the efficacy of the follow-up program and the cost-effectiveness. The project research will be conducted in the Department of General an Emergency Surgery, Alma Mater Studiorum - University of di Bologna, S.Orsola-Malpighi Hospital. Bologna, Italy.
