Devices for stem cell-based therapy for myocardial regeneration - Ref. 052/2013

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The aim of the research program is to develop bioactive scaffolds, populated with cardiac progenitors cells, for the regeneration of infarcted myocardial tissue, based on biomimetic materials exerting the same biochemical signals of the natural extracellular matrix, and having a structure specifically designed for guaranteeing the correct supply of nutrients and oxygen to cells and for inducing in vivo the proper mechanical stimuli. The optimal design of the scaffold will be defined with the support of the computational fluid dynamic modeling, in order to monitor the pore size, distribution and interconnectivity, since they are parameters that influence cell-cell interaction and scaffold permeability. Technological advanced devices dedicated to the culture of ingeneered tissues for myocardial regenerative medicine will be developed and designed.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
