Combinatorial optimization techniques for thermal/energy aware workload dispatching

The aim of the research will be as follows:
1. In-depth analysis and comparison of the current state-of-the-art thermal aware management and workload dispatching. The focus will be on Control theory and Machine Learning techniques.
2. Provide a methodology to connect and integrate decision making and optimization technology with complex systems.
3. Definition and develop of a software framework facing the thermal/energy aware workload dispatching.
4. Implementation of prototypes and demonstrators of industrial interest. From the methodological point of view the research will aim to provide not only theoretical results, but also a practical implementation.
