The role of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights in the promotion of the principle of non discrimination

The project is devoted in analyzing the role of European Courts in the promotion of the principle of non discrimination. In particular, the 15 different grounds of protection of non discrimination in art. 21 of the CFR of the European Union and the secondary legislation will be analyzed, together with national implementation. This framework forced the Courts in differentiating the levels of protection to individual rights. A re-systematization is required, to ensure an higher level of protection and to enhance pluralism, which is a fundamental value of the Union.
