Please note that the job is no longer active!

The successful candidate is expected to work on research themes within the ERC project Pascal: probabilistic and statistical techniques for Cosmological applications. These themes include, but are not restricted to, the following issues: spherical random fields, harmonic analysis on the sphere, spherical wavelets, needlets, angular power spectrum estimation, bispectrum estimations, tests for non-Gaussianity, spin fiber bundles, spherical Poisson fields, density estimation, geometric properties of random eigenfunctions for the spherical Laplacian, image reconstruction and inverse problems. Other areas of probalility and mathematical statistics with a view to cosmological applications are also of interest.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
