Please note that the job is no longer active!
The fundamental assumption of the research project is that the reduction of food waste represents a response to the current economic crisis from the point of view of sustainability: an opportunity for reflection on the limits of a developmental model. In the light of the subsidiarity principle and the Shared Social Responsibility paradigm, the food waste reduction actions represents the ground where it is experimenting virtuous circles of shared responsibility between businesses, associations, local authorities and citizens. The hypothesis that we intend investigate is wther the actions of food waste reduction are important means to generate local social effects in terms of social capital, networks of mutual assistance, participation, etc.; resulting in an improvement in the quality of life of individuals and the creation of common goods.
