This project will deal with two different subjects: The activity of the Collegio Medico Fiorentino (XIV-XIX cent.), with particular attention to the women who have appointed this association to be recognized as professionals (doctor/surgeon/midwife) and not generic health practitioners.
The activity of the Società Filoiatrica Fiorentina (1812-1964), founded by Doctor Giuseppe Bertini (1772-1845), who was the first Professor, in Italy, of Philosophical History of Medicine. The Society intended to share the most recent scientific information, in order to make them available for doctors and patients (Connected topics: technological transfer of the scientific results, for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes; life long learning; scientific associations)A scientific congress about the current role of Scientific Societies in the spreading of knowledge will be organized, together with the realization of a video
