With the fourth year of run, LHC is entering the phase of "precision physics", measuring many hadronic observables with an unprecedented accuracy. Theoretical predictions of the physical processes are forced to include higher order perturbative corrections. In particular, for many fundamental pocesses, the corrections at the NNLO are required to be under control. In this research project, we intend to focus on the production and decay of the SM vector bosons and the Higgs boson in pp (or pp-bar) collisions. Particular attention will be payed to the NNLO corrections to the Drell-Yan production of W and Z bosons, important for an accurate determination of input parameters of the SM, and other similar processes that play a crucial role as irriducible background for new physics, as the production of prompt photons, or the WW production. The corrections will be implemented in fully differential parton level Monte Carlo programs.
