Study of new indices and methodologies associated with the use of implantable cardiac devices to monitor heart failure

Please note that the job is no longer active!

Heart Failure (HF) is a major cause of death of the world population. More than half of the costs necessary for the treatment of HF patients is related to hospitalization. Continuous monitoring of HF patient's clinical status would be essential to prevent acute HF attacks and limit the number of hospitalizations. Currently, there is not a clear evidence on the reliability and effectiveness of implantable sensors proposed for continuous monitoring of HF patients. The objective of this research is the study of new indices and methodologies associated with the use of implantable cardiac devices for the continuous monitoring of cardiac/hemodynamic/respiratory functions, aimed at providing innovative tools to anticipate acute HF attacks and/or to guide the drug therapy or the optimal re-programming of cardiac resynchronization devices and/or to limit the number of inappropriate shocks in implantable cardioverter defibrillators.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
