Recovery of rare earth, valuable and base metals from WEEE, mining tailings and industrial

The aim of this study is to investigate the process of recovery of metals from WEEE (Waste

Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and the possibility of purifying the oxides obtained

downstream of the recovery, especially LCD panels, fluorescent lamps and cathode ray tubes

(CRT ). The study will be carried out considering the available scientific literature on the

process of recovery of metals from WEEE materials. Will conduct a campaign of experiments to

optimize the recovery of the first metals and then to assess the purity of the solids (containing

the metal) obtained, which is affecting its marketability and / or its price.
