Please note that the job is no longer active!
The grant is aimed at selecting a young researcher who will collaborate with the Quantum Probability Group at the Department of Mathematics in the development of the national FIRB project “Quantum Markov semigroups and their empirical estimation”. The winner will be involved in the following aspects of Quantum Tomography and Quantum Process Tomography:
1. statistical analysis of the reconstruction techniques for density matrices in Quantum Tomography: study of their consistency, evaluation of their convergence rates and check on their optimality;
2. in the field of Quantum Process Tomography, development of reconstruction algorithms for quantum channels and their statistical analysis;
3. study, from a theoretical and general point of view, of the different techniques for measuring and reconstructing quantum channels that have been proposed up to now in Quantum Process Tomography, and collocation of such techniques into a unifying mathematical framework.
Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
In order to participate in the selection, please read the notice of selection (“bando”) available at the following website: http://www.polimi.it/lavora-con-noi/collaborazioni-di-ricerca/assegnidiricerca/
To better plan and organise their stay in a foreign European country, researchers and their families can also benefit of the free and personalised assistance offered by the EURAXESS Services Centres, a network of more than 200 centres located in 40 different European countries.
