Fellowship posted by Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (08/12/2012 02.50)

Integration of a self-powered analog/digital mixed platform supplied by energy scavenging power sources like photovoltaic cells and implementation of a specific demonstration board.

Please note that the job is no longer active!

In the last few years the progress in the field of semiconductor’s micro-electronics has turned over every aspect of electronics goods in different market shares, starting from automotive one to tlc, passing by consumer one. The increasing circuitry miniaturization and the related power consumption reduction have led to a great rise of researches in the application scope of autonomous network and integrated systems. Such systems are meant to be complete platforms made of different electronic components providing heterogeneous features like data acquisition, elaboration and transmission, which are autonomous also from an energetic point of view, as they are supplied with scavenging techniques, harvesting energy from the external environment. Out of these solutions the photovoltaic harvesting is one of the most interesting one, in particular due to the amount of recovered energy which allows the creation of new products with very low power consumption.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
