The aim of the projec is to define novel biomolecular signatures in complex diseases in humans, both from a genetic and epigenetic point of view by evaluating nucleic acids extracted from peripheral blood mononuclear cells by using next generation sequencing methods. The key scope is to identify genetic/epigenetic markers in well-characterized subgroups of patients affected by major chronic-multifactorial diseases to define possible at-risk molecular markers which may allow a highly sophisticated personalized medicine approach. The methods utilized will be high-throughput, array-based technologies but needs optimization by highly skilled personnel and with explicit experience in the field of sequencing and next generation sequencing as well as in the performance of gene expression array-based technologies.

The competition will be carried out by an evaluation of titles and examination by means of an interview.
To better plan and organise their stay in a foreign European country, researchers and their families can also benefit of the free and personalised assistance offered by the EURAXESS Services Centres, a network of more than 200 centres located in 40 different European countries.
