Fellowship & Grant details

Fellowship posted by Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (08/12/2012 02.50)

E2BEBIS – Environmental and Economic BEnefits from BIochar clusterS in the Central area.

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The project will tackle the limited use of BC produced through the pyrolisis. The adoption of pyrolysis represents an opportunity to explore new sustainable forms of waste management, renewable energy production as well as of production of soil amendments with higher environmental compatibility.
The project will demonstrate that this technology can be successfully adopted with different types of biomasses, including those potentially polluting or whose disposal process is highly energy-consuming and polluting. Moreover, it will demonstrate that BC improves soil conditions and it is an important carbon sink. To achieve this, it is necessary to act in a wide and heterogeneous area, so that real contribution to European policies can be assured, and to formulate governance solutions and submit them to relevant decision makers in the targeted CE regions/countries as
well as at European level.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
