The research activity will focus on innovative CO2 capture systems applied to coal based power plants. The assessment will be performed through dedicated tool developed by the GECOS group of the department of Energy. In particular, different technologies for CO2 adsorption on solid sorbent either at high and low temperature, as well as hydrogen separation membranes will be investigated. For each technology, the optimal configuration will be identified together with a sensitivity analysis on main parameters. Finally, a preliminary economic assessment will be carried out assessing the cost of electricity and the cost of CO2 avoided.
Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
