Monitoring of emerging pollutants in soil, groundwater and air

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The research will have the objective to study the monitoring techniques for emerging pollutants in soils, groundwater and air. This work is part of a long-term project aimed at the evaluation of possible detrimental effects of these emerging pollutants on human health and at the development of protocols for the evaluation of sanitary and environmental risk due to these compounds. The research will be developed in the following steps:

1) bibliographic review on fate and transport processes of emerging pollutants, on sampling techniques and analytical methods for environmental matrices and biomass;

2) fate and transport studies (lab and pilot scale) and field measurement to comprehend the pollutant behavior under dynamic conditions and their distribution in the environmental

3) fate and transport modeling and assessment of ecological and health risk due to the occurrence of target emerging pollutants in terrestrial systems.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
