Study of the epigenetic modifications involved in cell reprogramming and differentiation.

Please note that the job is no longer active!

Emerging literature data indicate as cell commitment and differentiation imply genome wide reprogramming by means of multistep epigenetic modifications. This project focus on the study of the epigenetic reprogramming underlying the alternative resident liver stem cells (RLSCs) epithelial or mesenchymal differentiation choices. In particular it plans to better understand the epigenetic mechanisms driving the alternative stem cell fate decisions and, in the long term, to design new therapeutic strategies, effective and possibly combinatorial, to negatively control the mesenchymal/ stellate/ myofibroblast differentiation of the stem compartment in pathological conditions.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
