Please note that the job is no longer active!
The OU Translational Medicine for diagnostics and innovative therapies Nervous System and Cardiopulmonary Laboratory (NeuroTransMed), included activities aimed to optimize the chain for studies of safety and efficacy of novel therapies degenerative diseases of the nervous system, to be offered as a service for preclinical testing of neuroactive molecules on mouse models of disease. Aim of this project is to optimize the expression study of mRNA of interest in in vitro preparation (SY5Y line and primary neurons) by real time PCR (inclusing microdissected samples). Protocols for growth and trophic factor (NGF, BDNF, CNTF, GDNF, VEGF), neuropeptides, neurotransmitter enzymes, apoptosis will be developed, tested and optimized.
