Immunomodulatory effects of a novel cannabinoid in multiple sclerosis

Please note that the job is no longer active!

This project is aimed at characterizing the immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects of a new cannabinoid CB2-selective agonist displaying high affinity for CB2 but not at all for CB1 receptor. The characterization of anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects of the CB2 agonist will be performed on immunocompetent cells including T lymphocytes, monocytes and myelin protein- reactive T cell lines isolated from relapsing-remitting MS patients with different disease activity and from control subjects. The demonstration of significant immunomodulatory effects of this new highly selective CB2 agonist will provide new insights into the understanding of the physiological properties of CB2 receptor in periphery and its eventual role in immune system modulation in MS.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
