“Strong light-matter interactions in graphene and other two-dimensional quantum liquids”

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The research activity will be focused on a theoretical investigation of light-matter interactions in the ultrastrong coupling regime in graphene and other two-dimensional electron gases (2DEGs), analyzing some specific experimetal configurations which have been recently proposed, and (possibly) proposing new setups. Starting point of the reaserch will be the study of the setup proposed by the ETH group, which has recently demonstrated the possibility of achieving the ultrastrong coupling regime of cavity quantum electrodynamics by coupling cyclotron transitions in a 2DEG in the quantum Hall regime to the cavity modes of a Terahertz metamaterial.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
