Mixed Marriages in Italy

The research programme aim at answering the following questions
1. What determine the sharply different behavior of Italian men and women as reguards their marital choices when one of the sposes is a foreigner?
2.Are "mixed" marriages substitutes or complents of "non mixed" marriages?
3.Are "mixed" marriages more short lived than the others?
4.Is fertility different in mixed couples?
The answer will be based on an empirical anaysis of a unique data set put together by ISTAT which a partner of the project
