Design and realization of a continuous integrated system for hydrocarbon recovery from oil slicks, assembled on ships or vehicles, based on the use and recycling of raw wools not suitable for textile purposes. -Rif. 374/2012

Please note that the job is no longer active!

The research focuses on the use of the greasy wool for hydrocarbon recovery from oil slicks by means of a continuous plant assembled on a ship or on a vehicle. The efficiency of greasy wools, not suitable for textile purposes, for the absorption of liquid hydrocarbons layered on water will be tested. The hydrocarbon class, the geometry of the slick, the properties of the absorbent material, the number of recycling events, will be the variable parameters for testing the absorption properties. For a suitable disposal of the exhausted wool, both the removal of residual hydrocarbons that impregnate the fibres and the use of the product impregnated with heavy hydrocarbons, will be considered.

Please note that the full description may be available in the national language since some job boards have their own publication policy. Thank you for your understanding!
